Dungeons & Dragons promises a “packed” show this week as D&D Direct returns on April 21, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. PT (5:00 p.m. BST). The show is about everything happening in the world of D&D, both in 2022 and beyond, with “books, video games, entertainment and more”.
It is almost certain that Baldur’s Gate 3 will appear at some point, maybe some Dark Alliance 2, and probably more, like that third-person open-world game Hidden Path Entertainment is developing. Expect the upcoming D&D adventure bundle Journeys Through the Radiant Citadel to take pride of place.
You can watch D&D Direct on the Wizards of the Coast websiteas well as on YouTube and twitch†
Wizards of the Coast parent company Hasbro is in the process of licensing D&D and recently made a massive investment in the brand by to buy the officially licensed D&D online platform D&D Beyond at a cost of $146 million, bringing D&D’s primary digital presence in-house. Rumors circulating around that acquisition say it’s a sign of D&D’s more digitally-enabled future, such as Play D&D on your PC becomes more popular every year.
